Why founders experience decision paralysis
Decision paralysis doesn't stem from lack of competence.
It stems from an excess of conflicting signals:
- customers say one thing
- the market says another
- competitors do a third
Without a decision framework, every decision becomes a psychological burden. The key is distinguishing between data vs opinions - opinions reassure, data forces decisions.
The problem isn't lack of information. The problem is lack of structure that tells you which data matters. This is especially visible in questions like price validation - one signal isn't enough, you need context.
